Chef Samir Mohammad, 25 years old brings bright ideas and youthful energy to The Village Cork. Raised in Taos, NM Samir Mohammad--son of a Jordanian father and Greek mother who also is a chef--was schooled at Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco and the Culinary Institute of America's Graystone Restaurant in the Napa Valley. While on tour with the U.S. Coast Guard, he traveled the world. During a recent stint in Honolulu, Samir developed a love of fresh fish. After school, he returned to Taos and trained under Chef Joseph Weed at Joseph's Table, then took his first job as head chef at Arizona's Nautical Beachfront Resort. A love of the Rocky Mountains brought him back to Colorado. Samir likes to cook for the seasons and uses local and organic ingredients whenever possible. We are excited to welcome Samir to The Village Cork family ! |
